Before you begin

Factory resetting permanently erases the tablet. Back up anything important first. After the reset, do not sign in to a Google account until MiCoinTab has been installed and configured as Device Owner.

Installation Instructions

Use a Windows PC or laptop and a working USB data cable.

  1. Factory reset the tablet. Complete only the required initial setup. Do not add or sign in to a Google account.
  2. Enable Developer Options. Open Settings, go to About tablet/device, find Build number, and tap it five times or until Developer Options is enabled.
  3. Enable USB debugging. Return to Settings, open Developer Options, and turn on USB debugging.
  4. Connect the tablet to the PC. Use the USB data cable. When the tablet asks whether to allow USB debugging from this computer, select Always allow from this computer, then tap Allow.
  5. Download both files above. Keep MiCoinTab.apk in your Downloads folder and extract MiCoinTabTool.zip to a folder on the PC.
  6. Run MiCoinTabTool.exe. If Windows asks for permission, allow the application to run.
  7. Select the APK. In App Installation, browse to and select the downloaded MiCoinTab.apk file.
  8. Select the tablet. Refresh the device list. The tablet should appear after USB debugging has been authorized. If it does not appear, reconnect the cable and confirm the authorization prompt on the tablet.
  9. Install and set Device Owner. Use the tool to install MiCoinTab, then run its Set Device Owner action. Do not add a Google account before this step is completed.
  10. Finish setup. Open MiCoinTab, enter the default Super Admin password below, then add and verify the device license.
